Experience the best of Fraser Valley

The Fraser Valley follows the lower Fraser River east of Vancouver, a broad, flat valley of farms, towns and orchards between the Coast Mountains to the north and the Cascade range to the south. Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Hope are the main towns, and snow-capped peaks such as Mount Baker, across the border in Washington, loom on the horizon.

Harrison Hot Springs is a lakeside village with hot mineral springs beside Harrison Lake. Cultus Lake, near Chilliwack, is a swimming lake with a park, and Bridal Veil Falls near Rosedale drops from a rocky bluff. The Fraser Canyon north of Hope has narrow gorges, tunnels and railway lines, and Manning Park, in the Cascades to the east, has alpine meadows.

Farm stands along the back roads of Abbotsford and Chilliwack sell blueberries, raspberries, corn and hazelnuts, and dairy farms supply fresh milk and cheese, while rain falls mostly in autumn and winter, leaving summers warm and drier.
