Experience the best of Toronto
Toronto is Canada's biggest city, set on the shore of Lake Ontario, a patchwork of neighbourhoods under the tall needle of the CN Tower.

The CN Tower, 553 metres high, dominates a downtown skyline of glass towers, and the harbourfront below runs along Lake Ontario with ferries to the largely car-free Toronto Islands. The Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario are major collections, the St Lawrence Market is a long-established food hall, and the Distillery District has cobbled lanes between Victorian brick factories.
Toronto is a city of neighbourhoods: Kensington Market with its second-hand shops, Chinatown, Little Italy, Greektown on the Danforth and the galleries of Queen West. Casa Loma, a hilltop castle from 1914, overlooks the city, and the Scarborough Bluffs rise above the lake in the east. Niagara Falls is about 130 kilometres away, with the wine country of Niagara-on-the-Lake nearby.
Eating here means the world on one street: dumplings, jerk chicken, pizza, pho and peameal bacon sandwiches, a local speciality. Butter tarts are the traditional sweet. Summers are warm with festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival in September, autumn colours the ravines, and winters are cold and snowy, when an underground PATH walkway links downtown buildings.
