Experience the best of Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's vibrant capital, where the Petronas Towers soar over Malay, Chinese and Indian neighbourhoods and renowned street food.

The twin Petronas Towers, linked by a skybridge, define the skyline, with a landscaped park and fountains at their feet. The KL Tower offers a different view from its forested hill, and Merdeka Square, where the national flag was raised at independence, is framed by the Moorish-style Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
Chinatown's Petaling Street buzzes with market stalls, and close by stand the Sri Mahamariamman Temple and the handicraft halls of the Central Market. Little India in Brickfields is fragrant with spice and jasmine, and the Islamic Arts Museum and the National Mosque sit near the green Perdana Botanical Gardens. Just north of the city, the Batu Caves shelter Hindu shrines in a limestone hill, reached by a rainbow-coloured staircase of 272 steps.
Food unites the city's cultures: nasi lemak, char kway teow, roti canai, satay and laksa, sampled at their liveliest in the hawker stalls of Jalan Alor. The climate is hot and humid all year, and each January or February the Hindu festival of Thaipusam draws vast crowds of pilgrims up the steps of the Batu Caves. The historic port of Malacca and the cool tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands make good trips out.
