Itinerary
Estuaries occur where coastal rivers enter the sea, creating a mix of fresh and saltwater habitats. These habitats change with each tide. During flood tide, ocean water pulses into the estuary and up the lower reaches of the river. At ebb, fresh water pours into the estuary basin, pushing a wedge of lighter fresh water and riverborne sediments into the estuary. Why is an estuary important? Protected inner waters of estuaries, laden with sediment, form the richest of coastal environments. Their productivity far exceeds that of either the finest agricultural land or the open ocean. 80% of the Fraser Estuary has been lost, altered/developed. 50% of the Squamish estuary has been lost, altered/developed. Estuaries are a scarce resource, less than 3% of BC's coastline.

5Fabulous tour!!!
Excellent tour of Squamish!!! Thank you Christian!!!
5Great bike tour of Squamish
Excellent tour of Squamish with Brent who made us both feel very comfortable on our first use of e-Bikes. The bikes were a doddle to use and may even persuade me to get one myself! The length of the tour was just right for tired legs :). We were very lucky to have a private session with just the two of us. Communication from Brent was also excellent after an accident prevented us from attended at the booked time. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to have a great tour of Squamish and learn about its history. Only shame for us that it was the day before we left so weren't able to use many of the recommendations Brent provided. Thank you!

5Beautiful bike tour
It was a great experience and well worth the drive from Vancouver to see this beautiful place. Our guide was great and gave details about the town while taking us to a lot of beautiful sites. I had never ridden an e-bike before but made it a fun and easy ride.

About Squamish
Squamish sits at the head of Howe Sound in British Columbia, beneath the granite wall of the Stawamus Chief, a base for climbing and hiking.
At the head of Howe Sound, a long fjord north of Vancouver, Squamish lies between the water and steep, forested mountains. The Stawamus Chief, a granite monolith that rises hundreds of metres above the town, draws climbers to its walls and hikers to its three summits, while Shannon Falls drops more than three hundred metres in a long white ribbon beside the highway.
