Experience the best of Benahavís

Benahavís lies in the hills of the Serranía de Ronda behind the Costa del Sol, between Marbella and Estepona. Its old village, with whitewashed houses and a church, sits above newer resort developments, where many villas overlook the coast and the golf courses, and the village is known for the number of its restaurants.

Marbella's coast and the Puerto Banús marina, a busy harbour, lie a short drive south-east. Ronda, a mountain town on a deep gorge, is about an hour's drive to the north-west. The Sierra de las Nieves, a national park of mountains and pine forests, lies beyond.

Andalusian cooking is the local style: espeto, sardines grilled on a skewer over an open fire, is the classic of the coast, and migas, fried breadcrumbs with garlic and peppers, is a country dish.
