Itinerary

  1. This tour will take you from the city of Porto to Douro Valley, with boat tour and wine tasting. The Douro Region was the first Demarcated Region in the world created in 1756 during the reign of king D. José, by the Marquês de Pombal. Classified a World Heritage place by UNESCO since 2001, it is a unique region, composed of shale terraces that man has created in the steep slopes of the river banks. In this tour you will have the opportunity to know the Douro Valley and its natural beauties as well the biggest town: Régua and the beautiful little village of Pinhão, where are located the biggest producers of Wine. Here, in Pinhão, we'll enjoy a very nice Rabelo Boat Tour, the Train Station, consider one of the most beautiful of the world. Our lunch is included and is a really local experience in the first vineyard we'll visit. After the lunch we have a Visit and Wine Tasting in one of most beautiful Vineyards, one of the oldest vineyard in the Valley. 7:00 - 18:30

About Porto

Porto tumbles down steep hills to the Douro River, a granite city of tiled churches, riverside cellars and port wine aged across the water.

The Ribeira district lines the riverbank with colourful houses, cafés and boats, part of a UNESCO-listed old centre beneath the iron arches of the Dom Luís I Bridge. Above it, the São Bento station hall is covered in blue-and-white azulejo tiles, the Clérigos Tower rises above the rooftops, and the Sé cathedral stands on its hill.

Top-ranked sights in Porto: Clérigos Church and Tower (Torre & Igreja dos Clérigos), Dom Luis Bridge (Ponte de Dom Luis I), Porto Cathedral (Sé Catedral do Porto).
