5A must do experience
Really enjoyed this experience in the Douro Valley. The scenery and wine were fantastic, and I liked how much we learned about the local wine-making process. The boat ride was beautiful, but my favourite part was the meal in the local village, simple food cooked over a fire, and honestly one of the tastiest meals I had in Portugal.
4Actual description of the experience
Do not be confused by the description. This is a bus tour that includes a 50 minute boat ride. That said it was a great experience and we wouldn’t have gotten to see many of the beauties of the area from the boat. Lunch was delicious and the wine was good.
4Douro Valley adventure
Our guide, Pedro Manuel, and our driver, Filipe, were fantastic. Manu provided a fascinating and entertaining history of the Douro Valley throughout the day, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. It’s a big day with plenty to see and experience, but well worth it. The lunch venue was beautiful, the food was very good, and there was certainly no shortage of wine! Seating on the cruise was at a premium, and as one of the last groups to board, we were left with whatever seats were available. However, it was easy enough to move around and get up to take photos, so it wasn’t a major issue. We sampled a variety of ports at both stops, with some very interesting and entertaining characters sharing the history and stories behind their ports. Overall, we thoroughly recommend this wonderful day out. It was a fantastic way to experience the beauty, history, food and wine of the Douro Valley.

4Solid B+
Good tour. Not a ton of information given. But a lot of food and wine. We were passing it off on the 21 year old who can 'handle' his booze
