Group of 8. An absolutely amazing day. Our guide Rita was an absolute gem! Food, wine, boats and scenery all day. Such a gorgeous part of the world. Even got to take a swim in the Duoro River! Could not have asked for a better experience! So highly recommended. Make sure you ask for Rita!

  • 4Pretty scenery

Very nice tour, I wish we’d known of the large hill we had to climb at the first winery. The chicken was overcooked and hard to eat. The wines and locations were great! Our guide was very good.

  • 5Duoro Gem

Rita our guide was the best we've had! Loved how she was engaging on a personal level and group level while installing the knowledge she shared of history, current info. And comedy. Watching the landscape and reaching the Gorgeous Duoro valley was as rugged and beautiful as you could imagine. Visiting two family owned Wineries operated by hard working and passionate salt of the earth people. Yummy lunch and sensory wines were a Bonus surrounded by grapes waiting for hand-picked harvest....hard to beat that! This day of impressive value will remain in our memory banks forever!

About Porto

Porto tumbles down steep hills to the Douro River, a granite city of tiled churches, riverside cellars and port wine aged across the water.

The Ribeira district lines the riverbank with colourful houses, cafés and boats, part of a UNESCO-listed old centre beneath the iron arches of the Dom Luís I Bridge. Above it, the São Bento station hall is covered in blue-and-white azulejo tiles, the Clérigos Tower rises above the rooftops, and the Sé cathedral stands on its hill.

Top-ranked sights in Porto: Clérigos Church and Tower (Torre & Igreja dos Clérigos), Dom Luis Bridge (Ponte de Dom Luis I), Porto Cathedral (Sé Catedral do Porto).
