• 5Memorable Day-Douro Valley

  Our private small-group tour of the Douro Valley was wonderful. From the beautiful scenery to the wine tastings, every aspect of the day was thoughtfully planned and perfectly paced. Our guide, Ana, was absolutely fantastic! She was warm, engaging and knowledgeable. From the moment we met her, she made us feel welcome and comfortable. She shared fascinating stories about the region, its history, and its winemaking traditions, while also giving us plenty of time to relax and enjoy the experience. The wines, hospitality, and stunning vineyard settings were all memorable. We also enjoyed a beautiful river cruise on the Douro River, which offered a unique perspective of the breathtaking terraced vineyards and surrounding landscapes. The views were truly spectacular—it is one of those places that photographs simply cannot capture. Ana also made an extra stop for us in Amarante, a charming and beautiful town. We really appreciated her taking the time to include this special stop, which made the day feel even more personalized and memorable. We had enough time to appreciate the vineyards, enjoy the tastings, relax during the river cruise, explore Amarante (learned about a fertility pastry) take photos, ask questions, and truly take in the beauty of the region. Ana made the day feel personal, effortless, and special. Her knowledge, warmth, flexibility, and attention to detail made such a difference. Between the vineyards, wine tastings, river cruise, stunning scenery, and extra stop in Amarante, it was an absolutely beautiful day and a wonderful memory .

About Porto
