5Cost effective way to see Halifax City
Good way to see the major sites in Halifax and decide where to go. Halifax is not large so a hop on hop off takes a little time to get a lay of the city and the go back to see certain sites or locations. Cheaper than the cruise excursions by far and allow you to better manage your time at various locations
4Cruise ship excursion beware!
We have done this Hop On Hop Off in Halifax before, BUT, this time we weren’t allowed to get on the bus at the first stop at the cruise terminal! We had to walk to the second stop, which was a little over a 15 minute walk! So a heads up, if you aren’t able to make that walk. We noticed that the stops were farther apart than the last time we did this bus tour. There was much more walking involved. Getting on and off the bus could be difficult for anyone who had a mobility issue. The guides were all very good and friendly. We were able to see what we wanted. I highly recommend stopping at the art museum to see the Maude Lewis exhibit. It’s excellent! Also Jennifer’s Nova Scotia, is a fantastic gift shop! The Titanic cemetery, the Maritime Museum, and the fort are both great stops as well. We were able to end at the cruise terminal, which was extremely helpful.
1Not the best
Alot of the tour guides didn't want to let us on the bus because we didn't purchase it through the cruise but through trip advisor. Our first tour guide was ok but our second was good despite the whole not wanting us to ride because we purchased through trip advisor
5Get hopping in Halifax
Was a great way to get an introduction of the city. If you are a good walker you could walk the whole loop and save yourself some money. But if you are new to the city the Hop on Hop off is a good choice.
4The hop on hop off bus...
The hop on hop off bus works well for getting around Halifax and seeing the tourist sites. The guides on the bus were pleasant and informative. The bus comes round fairly often which works well when you have a limited amount of time to spend in town.
5A brilliant way to get around Halifax
This was a great way to get around the city of Halifax and see the sights. A definite stop must be the citadel. The museum is brilliant with so many artifacts for you to see.

About Halifax
Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, is an Atlantic harbour city of seafaring history, a hilltop citadel and a long waterfront boardwalk.
Halifax was founded in 1749 as a British naval base, and the harbour is still its heart. Citadel Hill, topped by a star-shaped fort, looks over downtown and the water, and a boardwalk of piers, galleries and cafés follows the waterfront. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic covers shipwrecks, the Titanic, whose recovered victims were brought to Halifax, and the great explosion of 1917.
