5Lake District in nutshell
It was a good trip . Peter was very helpful and informative. Enjoyed the trip. Beautiful landscapes and lakes .
5A half-day well spent
The guide is very knowledgeable. It’s a great way to see the area and learn much about the region. Definitely recommended.
5Most enjoyable
Very enjoyable drive around the Lake District. Our driver was Peter and we really enjoyed the information he gave us. He speaks well and gave us interesting history details. Our only criticism would be that because the tour is only 4 hours, the speed that he had to travel at was too fast, making it a little uncomfortable at times and also not allowing us to enjoy the scenery. I suggest they increase the time of the tour a little to allow a slower travelling pace.
4Didn’t go to some places we’ve been to before with the same tour and company
This is our second time using this. We booked it again as we really enjoyed the first one 5 years ago. Unfortunately, this time we didn’t go to the lakes we’ve seen before which are the reasons why we booked this tour again in the first place. The beautiful surprise at the end was not there anymore. And the place where there was a bridge where we could take photos was not included anymore as well.
5Best Lakes tour Via mini bus
Excellent tour guide who also drove the mini bus on Tuesday 14 July at 09:55 pick up at Bowness on Windermere. Very much a people person with excellent knowledge of all the lakes and stops to enable photos to be taken of maxing scenery. All on the mini coach expressed how professional she was which I also agree with. Air con on the mini bus which was needed due to a hot day. Which we were grateful for. Take the trip no hesitation regardless of any weather conditions it’s not too be missed. Thanks

About Windermere
Windermere is England's largest natural lake and the Lake District town beside it, with lake steamers, high fells and literary homes close by.
Windermere is the largest natural lake in England, about seventeen kilometres long, its shores wooded and dotted with islands. The town of Windermere stands a little inland, and Bowness-on-Windermere on the water is the hub of boat life, with steamers and launches sailing to Ambleside at the head of the lake. A museum on the shore shows the lake's historic steam launches.
