  • 5Tudor & Lights Out….

Very spooky , especially the tight stairs & low Tudor ceilings. Room were decorated beautifully with scary stuff & only one lantern between the group. Went into a room where the temperature dropped to chilly & the lantern went off!!! Crazy…….

  • 5Excellent

We had such a fantastic time! John Fairfoot was our guide, very knowledgeable, extremely funny and knows how to tell a good story! This was the first ever ‘ghost tour’ we’ve been on, I love history and especially Tudor history, and I thought my boyfriend might find it boring but he thoroughly enjoyed it! Nothing too scary, really interesting history in the dark, it feels eerie but a truly great time had! Well worth it!

  • 5Would recommend

Wilfred Warden did a real good job of telling us the stories of the place. Lovely building. Perfect for family or with mates, nice end to an evening. If you like old stories, lore and history would definitely recommend. Lighthearted but interesting too.

His birthplace on Henley Street is a half-timbered house, and Hall's Croft, Nash's House and the gardens of New Place stand close by in the old town. Anne Hathaway's Cottage, a thatched farmhouse in the village of Shottery, and Mary Arden's Farm at Wilmcote complete the Shakespeare family sites.
