Itinerary

  1. We will travel together the Ammonites Route, the most emblematic path of the Torcal. On the ground and on the rock walls you will find the fossils of the ammonites that lived under the Tethys Sea more than 150 million years ago. The local guide will explain how this limestone labyrinth was formed by karst erosion and what wild fauna inhabits today among its cliffs: mountain goats, lion vultures and wild orchids. At the end of the route, we stop at the best viewpoint to contemplate the sunset over the Vega de Antequera and enjoy a snack with local products.

About Malaga

Málaga is a sunny Andalusian port on the Costa del Sol, the birthplace of Picasso, with a Moorish fortress, city beaches and a thriving museum scene.

The Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress-palace, climbs the hill above the old town, with Gibralfaro Castle higher still and views over the port and bay. At its foot lie the Roman Theatre and the cathedral, nicknamed La Manquita, the one-armed lady, because its second tower was never finished.

Top-ranked sights in Malaga: Malaga Alcazaba, Malaga Cathedral (Cathedral de la Encarnación), Constitution Square (Plaza de la Constitucion).
