Itinerary

  1. Stonehenge Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years. Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains. Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.

    1.5 hAdmission included

  2. Windsor Castle (optional entry) is the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world. As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt adorn the walls. Guests choosing the option to enter the Castle can also see St George's Chapel, the scene of some of the most famous royal weddings of recent times including The Duke & Duchess of Sussex and HRH Princess Eugenie & Mr Jack Brooksbank. Within the Chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I.

  • 5Book this tour!

That Simon is a wonderful tour guide. He told us everything we needed to know for both Stonehenge and Windsor castle. While we had traffic delays. He did make up for it by extending our time at Windsor. That was much appreciated! Note that getting food at either stop is on your own so budget your time or bring your own food. I highly recommend this tour!

  • 5Excellent Tour!

So- I was supposed to go on the earlier Stonehenge/Windsor day trip, but I got lost and missed the leave time. The kind woman in the office moved me to a later time and I was able to fully participate. Simon was our tour guide and he was fantastic! The buses were a smooth ride and our driver, Malek, was great. I highly recommend if you're wanting a nice day trip. This company was easy to work and even if you have a major mishap like I did, they do what they can to help you out-

  • 5Awesome, magical day!

This was an amazing experience and our tour guide @tourwithphil made it even more amazing! His knowledge of both the area and the history of England made the day purely magical. Stonehenge is awe inspiring as you look at those massive ancient stones and wonder just how DID they construct them?! Our guide pointed out other unknown things about the area we would have never known about such as the ancient burial mounds which are everywhere. The entire area has a magical feel to it. And Windsor Castle! Oh my gosh! It sits upon a manmade mound….made by WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR!!!!! It’s quite impressive from the outside and even more on the inside although photography is prohibited. The castle is still operational to the royal family so there’s areas you’re not allowed into. The chapel was surreal to see in person as I’ve only seen it on TV (Queen Elizabeth funeral and Prince Harry wedding). Just beautiful and solemn at the same time. The village outside the castle offers many places to shop and/or eat. I could’ve spent an entire day here, but it was limited to 4 hours….so plan your time accordingly. Highly recommended!
