It's a good 15 to 20 minute walk uphill to the palace from the start of the tour, so physically challenging.
1No stars for Viator!!!
Awful afwul awful! Do not book through Viator for the Alambra! They had our date wrong and 3 other families. We were part of a group and we were embarrassed and disappointed that we couldn’t go through because they had our date wrong on the ticket, although they reminded us the morning of…the person at the office was extremely rude and put the phone down in my ear, said we must walk all the way back to just hear we were refunded but never received our refund. We went all the way to Grenada to experience the Alambra, what a total waste..! Thanks to Viator!!!
2Coerced review
The local vendor cancelled our guide because too few people signed up. Then the local vendor offered to email us our tickets, but only after I left them a good review on trip advisor.
5Recommend this tour!
Great experience. Sandra was very knowledgeable and it was nice that she gave a few minutes at each spot to take photos.
2Terrible audio, missed 90% of the tour
Everyone in my group had trouble hearing the guide. It was all static and lulls in sound. I did not find the delivery or content very engaging. Asking us questions and waiting awkwardly for us to come up with the answers. I’m taking a tour because I don’t know and I want to learn. For some reason the guide took us to a small gift shop to use the bathrooms. Two stalls for a group of thirty? Meanwhile the museum bathrooms right next door had 20 stalls and no line. It’s the type of thing that makes me wonder if they get some sort of kickback for forcing us to visit the gift shop.
5Excellent guide!
Well paced, gentle breaks and a wonderful guide who infused history, anecdotes & humor. Lots of opportunities to ask questions.

About Granada
Granada is an Andalusian city below the Sierra Nevada, home to the Alhambra palace complex, the Moorish Albaicín quarter and a famous tapas habit.
The Alhambra, a hilltop fortress and palace complex built by the Nasrid rulers in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, is one of Spain's most visited monuments, with carved plasterwork, courtyards and pools, and the Generalife gardens beside it. Granada fell in 1492, the last Muslim kingdom in Spain, and the cathedral and Royal Chapel, with the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, mark that turning point.
Top-ranked sights in Granada: Generalife Gardens, Alhambra (Alhambra de Granada), Palace of Charles V (Palacio de Carlos V).
