This panoramic route offers a beautiful first impression of Málaga’s Mediterranean character, Moorish heritage, historic architecture, and lively coastal atmosphere. Guests can easily step out of the minivan at selected points to take photographs of the main monuments and landmarks with minimal effort.
Continue from Málaga toward the beautiful white village of Mijas, perched above the Mediterranean. Along the way, enjoy coastal views, hillside scenery, traditional Andalusian landscapes, and sweeping panoramas over the Costa del Sol. As you travel, pass through some of the coast’s most popular resort areas, including Benalmádena and Fuengirola, where Mediterranean beaches, palm-lined avenues, marinas, and lively seaside atmosphere reveal the relaxed lifestyle that has made this region so famous. This scenic transition reveals the contrast between Málaga’s vibrant coastal capital, the elegant resort towns of the Costa del Sol, and the peaceful charm of a whitewashed hilltop village.
Arrive in Mijas and enjoy a relaxed guided walk through one of the most picturesque villages in Andalusia. Explore whitewashed streets, artisan shops, flower-filled balconies, quiet village corners, and scenic terraces overlooking the coastline. Highlights include La Ermita, the charming Plaza de Toros, and panoramic viewpoints offering beautiful views over the Mediterranean and the Costa del Sol. Thanks to the smaller vehicle format, the visit is designed to remain comfortable and easy-paced, with convenient access points and limited walking. Your visit is followed by 30 minutes of free time.
Arrive in Marbella and enjoy a relaxed guided visit of its historic center. Begin around Plaza de la Alameda, a graceful shaded square known for its fountains, tiled benches, and Andalusian character. Continue toward Avenida del Mar, where guests can admire the celebrated Dalí sculptures displayed in an elegant open-air setting between the old town and the seafront. The visit continues into Marbella’s old town, with its whitewashed façades, flower-filled balconies, boutique-lined alleys, hidden corners, and elegant pedestrian streets. Highlights may include Plaza de los Naranjos, the exterior of the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, and some of Marbella’s most picturesque streets and small squares.
After discovering the old town, enjoy a curated tapas tasting in Marbella. This delicious stop introduces guests to the flavours of Andalusia in a relaxed and authentic setting. Taste selected local specialties while enjoying the atmosphere of Marbella’s historic center, where food, conversation, and Mediterranean lifestyle naturally come together.
Puerto Banús offers a glamorous final stop on the Costa del Sol, where luxury yachts, designer boutiques, exotic cars and stylish waterfront cafés create one of Spain’s most iconic marina settings. Enjoy free time to stroll along the harbour, take photos, browse the shops or simply soak up the elegant Mediterranean atmosphere.
Before returning to the cruise terminal, enjoy a final panoramic stop at the Gibralfaro viewpoint, one of Málaga’s most impressive scenic locations. From this elevated position, admire a bird’s-eye view over Málaga, including the cruise port, bullring, Cathedral, historic center, Mediterranean Sea, and surrounding mountains. About Malaga
Málaga is a sunny Andalusian port on the Costa del Sol, the birthplace of Picasso, with a Moorish fortress, city beaches and a thriving museum scene.
The Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress-palace, climbs the hill above the old town, with Gibralfaro Castle higher still and views over the port and bay. At its foot lie the Roman Theatre and the cathedral, nicknamed La Manquita, the one-armed lady, because its second tower was never finished.
Top-ranked sights in Malaga: Malaga Alcazaba, Malaga Cathedral (Cathedral de la Encarnación), Constitution Square (Plaza de la Constitucion).
