  • 5An insight into the magic of the Indian kitchen

A wonderful evening with a delightful family! We were introduced to the fundamentals of the great variety of fresh and dried herbs and spices that create the magic of Indian food. We rolled chapatis and created vegetable dishes full of flavour. All was explained with warmth and humour by our hostess and her three vivacious daughters. All this in their welcoming home and its immaculate kitchen. We go on a lot of these experiences as a way to meet and spend some time with local people. This was up there with the best and I would highly recommend it.

  • 5Wow, just wow

Ram and Reena and their girls are probably the most genuine kind people I have ever met. Invited me into their home and I instantly felt like I was a part of their family. The cooking class was wonderful, super informative and the food was DELICIOUS. I learned so much about Indian culture and their lifestyle. I highly recommend checking out their art gallery as well it is insane. Super talented, artistic family. If you come to jodhpur this is a must. Thank you again guys! Looking forward to visiting soon :)

  • 5A must visit cooking experience in Jodhpur

Wonderful artistic family organising a unique experience. You learn about the Indian Cuisine and the unique connection they have with their food. Everything was home made (even some spice mixes). It was like being invited to their home to come and have dinner with them. They showed us how everything is made and gave us the recipes. The eldest daughter of the family is an artist at heart, and even did some Henna! All in all a wonderful experience 10/10 recommend.

  • 5Great Cooking Class !!

We took a cooking class with Reena and her family and it was a great time! We learned a lot about Indian cuisine, and above all we had a great time! Reena then sent us the recipes so we could make them at home. It was great!

About Jodhpur

Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan, spreads beneath the great Mehrangarh Fort at the edge of the Thar Desert, its old houses washed in blue.

Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in 1459, and the huge Mehrangarh Fort still stands on a rocky ridge above the old city, its walls and palaces holding museums of arms, palanquins and painted rooms. Below, thousands of cube-shaped houses are washed in blue, a colour said to have started with the Brahmin families who lived there. White marble Jaswant Thada, a memorial to a maharaja, lies close to the fort.

Top-ranked sights in Jodhpur: Mehrangarh (Mehran Fort), Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum.
