5Amazing class
This was a wonderful experience. The whole family will make you feel at home and we learned so much! The food was amazing! I highly highly recommend! We also recommend booking directly through them so as not to pay a commission to big companies as it helps to support them directly.
5Magical morning spent with Rekha and Rishi
My partner and I had an incredible experience with Rekha, Rishi and their lovely daughter. We were picked up directly from our hotel and welcomed into their beautiful home. We cooked and ate breakfast, and then started on lunch. Rekha explained everything so clearly, and her passion for cooking and teaching was obvious. We have been travelling around Rajasthan across different cities, and this has been our absolute favourite thing we have done. We would recommend this to anyone and everyone.
5The best cooking class taught by a real home cook
We stumbled by this class having used Rishi as a tuk tuk driver. He mentioned his wife Rekha offers a cooking class and did we want to go. We jumped at the chance. The class is taught at their home, both Rishi and Rekha are amazing hosts, we got to make so many different dishes including Paneer Passanda which we requested having loved eating it here. Everything is made very simple, with options for alternative ingredients if you can’t get everything back home. When you finish the class you get to dine on all the bits you made, we had aloo gobi, pilau rice, kulcha, chapati, spicy aubergine, another lentil dish I forgot the name of, paneer passanda and halwa. We also started the evening with Paneer pakora, potato and chilli pakora, lentil dumplings and we learnt to make Massala Chai. (Everything is vegetarian). The whole thing was amazing and were so pleased we did this, highly recommended and amazing value for money.
5A wonderful travel memory
We had such an incredible evening learning to cook with Rekha and Rishi! We made a variety of dishes, such as pakora, lassi, gobhi and butter paneer masala. Our hosts were so kind, welcoming and informative; they were excellent teachers. Everything we cooked together was absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to try to cook them at home! This activity is an absolute must for an authentic experience in Jodhpur.
5A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
We had such a great evening! Rishi and Rekha welcomed us like family and Rekha started explaining what ingredients and spices she uses. Her lesson went far beyond a cookery session as she knows so much about the properties and benefits of each ingredient and even provided alternatives for people with food intolerances or spice limitations. Rekha speaks such good English that it was easy to follow as she explains each step clearly and made it seem much easier than we imagined. Most importantly, Rekha's kitchen is scrupulously clean and she maintains this hygiene throughout the session. We cooked a first set of 4 starters, then ate them on the family terrace. Next we prepared the 4 main courses plus outstanding chapati which was such fun! Rehka is a great teacher, explaining all her techniques. She's welcoming, witty and warm, while Rishie was so jolly and also arranged transport for us. Most importantly this small group experience is so much better than being with 10-20 others. Our excellent, memorable evening gave us more than just cookery, as the moment we stepped in we were welcomed as part of an Indian family. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting an insight into Indian life.
5An incredible experience
An incredible experience. Rekha is a brilliant teacher. We had a fun and informative introduction to Indian cooking. We felt privileged to have been a part of Rekha and Risha's home for the evening. The food that we all helped to prepare was absolutely amazing.

About Jodhpur
Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan, spreads beneath the great Mehrangarh Fort at the edge of the Thar Desert, its old houses washed in blue.
Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in 1459, and the huge Mehrangarh Fort still stands on a rocky ridge above the old city, its walls and palaces holding museums of arms, palanquins and painted rooms. Below, thousands of cube-shaped houses are washed in blue, a colour said to have started with the Brahmin families who lived there. White marble Jaswant Thada, a memorial to a maharaja, lies close to the fort.
