Experience the best of Jaipur
Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, is a royal capital of forts, palaces and bazaars set against the rugged Aravalli hills.

The old city's walls enclose a grid of streets painted terracotta pink, laid out in the eighteenth century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. At its heart, the City Palace mixes Rajput and Mughal styles, the honeycomb façade of the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, looks down on the street, and the giant astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar still track the sun.
Just outside the city, Amber Fort climbs a hillside above Maota Lake, its courtyards and mirrored halls glittering with inlay. Nahargarh and Jaigarh forts line the ridge above, with views over the city at sunset, and the Jal Mahal palace appears to float in the waters of Man Sagar. The Albert Hall Museum and the white marble Birla Mandir add further grandeur.
Jaipur is famous for block-printed textiles, gemstones and blue pottery, sold in the bazaars of Johari and Bapu. Dal baati churma, fiery laal maas and the honeycomb sweet ghevar are Rajasthani specialities. October to March brings warm days and cool nights, and in mid-January the festival of Makar Sankranti fills the sky above the old city with kites, while summer is very hot. Agra and Delhi complete the Golden Triangle.
