Itinerary

08:30 – Begin your visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi. Dating back to the 6th century under the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De, this historic pagoda sits gracefully on a small island in West Lake. Renowned for its tranquil beauty and elegant architecture, Tran Quoc Pagoda stands as a timeless symbol of Vietnam’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
09:15 – Arrive at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, home to the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Vietnam’s revered revolutionary leader. Here, you will also visit Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969, preserved to reflect his simple lifestyle. Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic symbol of Hanoi, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and regarded as one of the most unique architectural structures in Asia.
11:00 – Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s 54 officially recognized ethnic groups through exhibitions, artifacts, and traditional houses. Note: On Mondays, when the Museum of Ethnology is closed, the itinerary will be replaced with a visit to the Vietnam Women’s Museum. 12h30-12h45: Have lunch with Vietnamese cuisine at our luxury restaurant name “Mesdames Linh”.
13:45 – 14:00 – Continue the journey with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university. Originally founded in 1070 during the reign of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, the temple was dedicated to Confucius, sages, and scholars. It later became the Imperial Academy, nurturing many of Vietnam’s greatest minds. Today, the Temple of Literature stands as a symbol of the country’s rich educational tradition and respect for learning.
15:00 – Continue the tour with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, originally built by the French between 1886 and 1901 when Vietnam was still part of French Indochina. Known to the French as Maison Centrale, the prison was first used to detain Vietnamese political prisoners who fought against colonial rule. During the Vietnam War (1964–1973), it was later used by North Vietnam to hold American prisoners of war. Today, Hoa Lo Prison serves as a historical site, offering a moving insight into the country’s turbulent past and the resilience of its people.

About Hanoi
Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, mixes lakeside temples, French colonial boulevards and an Old Quarter where street food and scooters fill every lane.
The Old Quarter's narrow streets, each once devoted to a single trade, sit just north of Hoan Kiem Lake, where the red Huc Bridge leads to the Temple of the Jade Mountain. Wander at dawn to see tai chi by the water, or after dark when the pavements fill with food stalls and low plastic stools.
Top-ranked sights in Hanoi: Ha Long Bay, Hanoi Old Quarter, Long Bien Bridge (Cau Long Bien).
