1. From Banff/Canmore we drive east and then North up the scenic foothills and rolling pastures of hwy 40 through picturesque Waiperious and then back into the remote Ghost Valley along the Ghost access road

2. As we enter the remote Ghost valley we stop for some spectacular views up top the so called "Big HiIll" from here we descend down into the north Ghost river valley with surrounding towering rock walls and mountain peaks. Sightseeing and possible short hike at the visually spectacular Black Rock Mountain

3. We continue to explore up the North Ghost river valley by 4x4 up until the Valley of the birds. Here we are rewarded with spectacular views of spectral Peak as we stop for lunch and a short sightseeing walk to a hidden waterfall.

4. From the North Ghost we return and explore down the South ghost by 4x4 trail and along Orient Point. Views of the Devils Head Mountain abound. We explore right up to the Devils gap and edge of Banff national Park.

5. We will explore the back end of Lake Minnewanka and the Devils Gap, From here we return by 4x4 trail back up the "Big Hill" and return by the Ghost access road back to Waiperous and hwy 40 to Banff and Canmore. We arrive back by late afternoon early evening.

About Banff

Banff is a small mountain town inside Canada's first national park, set among the Rocky Mountain peaks of Alberta with hot springs, lakes and wildlife.

The town of Banff sits in the Bow Valley at about 1,400 metres, with Mount Rundle's sloping ridge rising over the main street and Cascade Mountain at the other end. It began as a railway town beside hot springs, and the Cave and Basin National Historic Site marks the discovery that led to Canada's first national park. A gondola climbs Sulphur Mountain for views, and the Bow Falls and a château-style hotel add to the river scenery.
