Highlights
As darkness falls, and the witching hour creeps ever closer, join us for a spine tingling, late night, 80 minute walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town and underground. The often brutal past of Scotland’s capital creates a wholly unique, grand but somewhat unsettling atmosphere which lends itself to evening ghost tours. Let one of our costumed guides, playing an infamous, historical character, lead you through the Old Town’s winding closes, show you the notoriously haunted Greyfriars Kirkyard and reveal one of Edinburgh’s darkest secrets – the underground vaults that snake beneath the city. Hear gory, but always entertaining and revealing, tales of ghosts, torture, executions, murder, cannibalism and witchcraft. The scares on this tour do not depend on jump scares or cheap tricks but good storytelling.

5Mary Queen of Scots
Need to slow down. Thought it was a WALKING tour and we we were sprinting to each of the talking points areas. Not a pleasant experience for an older senior citizen. Mary Queen of Scots was excellent with her telling of stories.
5recommend going on this if you love paranormal
Very knowledgable, interactive, funny and good vibes. Well worth the money, tour lasted around two hours and enjoyed every minute.
5Exceptional
We had an absolutely amazing time on the tour! Our guide, David Rizzio, was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and genuinely passionate about Edinburgh and its history. He made the whole experience so enjoyable and brought the city to life with fascinating stories and little details. You could really tell that David put his heart into what he was doing, and honestly, I don’t think anyone could have done a better job. He made us feel welcome from the very beginning and kept everyone interested throughout the entire tour. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Edinburgh. An unforgettable experience thanks to an incredible David Rizzio!

About Edinburgh
Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, rises on volcanic hills, with a castle on a crag, a medieval Old Town and an elegant Georgian New Town.
Edinburgh Castle crowns Castle Rock and keeps the Honours of Scotland, the Scottish crown jewels. From there, the Royal Mile runs downhill through the Old Town, past St Giles' Cathedral and a warren of narrow closes, to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament. Arthur's Seat, an ancient volcano, rises above the palace with sweeping views.
