4The castle is historic
It’s uneven road and stairs. Not really for kids or those with special needs The views were pretty . Interesting to look at the castle. Not my favorite activity . Our guide Kate was excellent! Informative and clever . We had a small group of 8 which was pleasant
5A Must for Visiting Edinburgh Castle
Our guided tour provided tons of history and information that enriched our visit of Edinburgh Castle. We would have missed out on so much if we simply decided to do a self-guided tour instead. Our tour guide Matthew was knowledgable, animated and presented the castle's history in a meaningful way - great job!! The wind at the top of the hill can be relentless, dress warmly and wear waterproof gear. We did the 10 am tour and warmed up in a pub afterward with a nice bowl of soup and a glass of wine.
5Great tour of the castle
We had Jessica as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable on the history of the castle and was very interesting to listen to!

5Tour of the castle
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Max, who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He told us about the history of Scotland and the castle and advised us about the sites worth visiting after his tour had finished.

About Edinburgh
Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, rises on volcanic hills, with a castle on a crag, a medieval Old Town and an elegant Georgian New Town.
Edinburgh Castle crowns Castle Rock and keeps the Honours of Scotland, the Scottish crown jewels. From there, the Royal Mile runs downhill through the Old Town, past St Giles' Cathedral and a warren of narrow closes, to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament. Arthur's Seat, an ancient volcano, rises above the palace with sweeping views.
