  • 5Marble cutting in Naxos

This was a highlight of our recent trip to Greece ! Had no idea we would enjoy this so much. Maggie's workshop has a gorgeous view of the farms and valleys in Naxos. She was lovely and a great teacher, not to mention an amazing artist. Unique experience for sure. Thank you !

  • 5Highly recommended activity if you're looking for something unique to do

Absolutely worth booking this experience as it's a really cool way to get out of the touristy hustle and bustle, plus you end up with a really cool piece of art to take home. Maggie does an excellent job in coaching you to make sure you have a piece of art to be proud of. However, I would absolutely recommend that if your art piece ends up have a pointed/sharp corner that airport security may give you grief and have you check your bag vs keeping it in your carry-on.

  • 5Marble carving experience

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. I would absolutely do this again when we return to Naxos. You get to learn the traditional techniques of marble carving and then carve your own souvenir. All while snacking on local fruits and cheeses.

About Naxos

Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades, mixes long sandy beaches, mountain villages, marble quarries and a Venetian old town.

Naxos Town, the island's capital, is a whitewashed port with a Venetian castle on the hill above and narrow lanes winding through its centre. Out on the harbour islet stands the Portara, a huge marble doorway, all that remains of an unfinished temple of Apollo begun in the sixth century BC. The island is greener than most of its neighbours, with fertile valleys, springs and the Cyclades' highest peak, Mount Zas.
