Highlights
This is not just a cooking class—it is a fully immersive hands-on Greek experience that brings you into real island life. What makes it truly unique is that you don’t simply watch, you participate in everything. From the moment you arrive, you become part of our daily life. You pick fresh vegetables straight from the garden and cook traditional Naxian recipes step by step using real farm-to-table products. But the experience goes far beyond cooking. You explore a living farm, meet our animals, walk through olive groves and vineyards, and discover how locals have lived and worked for generations. It’s authentic, unfiltered, and personal — not staged tourism. Then the experience expands into the village of Potamia, with walks among Venetian towers and a local stream, adding history and landscape to the day. And finally, it all transforms into a real Greek celebration—shared food, local wine, music, dancing, and plate smashing — where strangers become part of one big family.

5Amazing experience. Must do when in Naxos
Amazing experience. My husband, my daughter and me came here during our October trip to Naxos and I can say I was one of our favorite things we’ve done here. Our guide was so friendly, gave clear instructions, gave us so much information about the farm and the island of Naxos. The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious. Definitely a must do.
5A must visit!!!!
A lot of fun, a lot of good food, a lot of good history. Beautiful place. Enjoyed chopping the food we would be eating. The owner/tour guide was great and it all ended with a dance and breaking of plates. Would absolutely recommend!!
5The most fun experience of our two-week vacation in Greece!
From start to finish this was one of the most enjoyable experiences my wife and I have ever had travelling. After being welcomed and meeting the others in our group with some delicious local wine (from grapes grown at Basiliko Farm), we headed into the garden to pick veggies to use in our recipes. We brought back a bountiful basket of fresh foods to cook with that looked amazing. Talk about farm to table! We then combined our freshly picked veggies with their home-grown olive oil and other ingredients to cook three authentic and traditional dishes: Gemista -- Greek stuffed vegetables, Pork in tomato sauce, Greek-style, and Briam -- zucchini, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes with herbs. All three were absolutely delicious! After our food prep was done and our dishes were in the oven, we walked to an ancient dwelling on the farm dating back many centuries. Here we learned the history of the land told by the brother who runs the farm with his sister and family. An hour or so later we were welcomed back onto the terrace of the farmhouse where we enjoyed a multi-faceted feast of foods all made from local ingredients grown at Basiliko Farm -- including but not limited to the three tasty dishes we prepared. After the meal we then joined the host family for some traditional Greek folk dancing, culminating with a plate-shattering experience that was a fun way to end the day. If you are on Naxos, do not miss this amazing and fun cooking immersion experience at Basiliko Farm!
5Great Fun
My wife ad our 12 y.o. son took the dinner class and had a great time. After arriving down a tight driveway (typical Naxos), and being welcomed; you check out the farm, say hi to the goats, pick veg, do the slicing and dicing, take a walk to see more of the land and learn a bit of the history, and come back to a nice dinner followed by some dancing. It was a great way to spend the afternoon and evening. Wonderful family running the place.
5Highlight of Naxos
This was so much fun! A highlight of Naxos for sure! The tour was very informative, but not too much. The food was amazing and the dancing was too! I recommend for groups big and small!
3Disappointing
The tour guides were fine and the farm tour interesting and fun for all, particularly the children. Our preparation of the food fun but all the effort to prepare a beautiful chicken dish and we were definitely not served that meal, rather what looked like 2day old awful chicken. Make sure they serve you what you prepared.

About Naxos
Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades, mixes long sandy beaches, mountain villages, marble quarries and a Venetian old town.
Naxos Town, the island's capital, is a whitewashed port with a Venetian castle on the hill above and narrow lanes winding through its centre. Out on the harbour islet stands the Portara, a huge marble doorway, all that remains of an unfinished temple of Apollo begun in the sixth century BC. The island is greener than most of its neighbours, with fertile valleys, springs and the Cyclades' highest peak, Mount Zas.
