Itinerary
The Drach Caves are the best known caves in Mallorca and were mentioned in the novel Clovis Dardentor by Jules Verne. Their impressive spectacle of light and colour, together with stalagmites, stalactites and natural aquifers, make the visit an unforgettable experience. Located in Porto Cristo, these four caves were formed between 11 and 5.3 million years ago. Their subterranean landscape, shaped by the filtration of rainwater through limestone rocks, looks like something out of a science fiction film. The first written references date back to the 14th century, and in 1784 Cardinal Despuig included them in his map of Mallorca. In the 19th century, an enormous underground lake 170 metres long was discovered. Since 1935, a magical classical music concert has been held in this lake.
Discover the Hams Caves, one of Mallorca's main attractions, and immerse yourself in their history and formation. Divided into three areas, they offer a fascinating tour. The Round Cave houses a lush botanical garden with native birds in the wild and a special microclimate. The Blue Cave, with its innovative LED lighting, presents the documentary Discovering the Past, which narrates the history of Mallorca and the origin of the caves. In its auditorium, the audiovisual show GENESIS recreates the evolution of the universe from the Big Bang to the present day. The Classic Cave has 12 galleries and the underground lake Mar de Venecia, where an unforgettable musical show is offered.
An emblematic Mallorcan pearl factory, and a pioneer in the manufacture of artificial organic pearls for over a century.

About Mallorca
Mallorca is the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands, with a Gothic cathedral in Palma, a rugged north-west mountain range and coves of clear water.
Mallorca lies in the western Mediterranean, an island of limestone mountains, almond and olive groves and a long, indented coast. Palma, the capital, is dominated by La Seu, a Gothic cathedral that rises over the bay, and by the Almudaina Palace beside it; the circular Bellver Castle looks down from a forested hill. The old town has quiet courtyards, boutiques and tapas bars.
Top-ranked sights in Mallorca: Palma Cathedral (La Seu), Sóller , Royal Palace of La Almudaina (Palau de l’Almudaina).
