Itinerary
CBWD Guide meets you at Cat Ba National Park Gate then walk inside the our office in National Park headquarters, with a briefing on the trail ahead and the park's biodiversity — including the rare, endemic Cat Ba langur, found nowhere else on Earth and welcome drink.
Trek begins through the Kim Giao forest, home to rare and centuries-old Kim Giao trees. The trail climbs steadily to Ngu Lam Peak (approx. 225m), where a 360° panorama opens up — limestone mountains on one side, the karst-studded waters of Lan Ha Bay on the other
From the peak, the trail continues along quieter paths into the park's interior. Your guide points out medicinal plants, bird calls, and signs of the langur troop that calls this forest home. Packed lunch break at a shaded rest point along the trail, or a simple local meal, depending on the day's route.
Continue or loop back through the forest toward the trailhead, at an easier pace than the morning climb. Note: Note: Electric carts are included if you wish to experience the ride or prefer not to trek back.

About Cat Ba
Cat Ba is a rugged limestone island at the edge of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, with forest, beaches, caves, fishing villages and the rare Cat Ba langur.
Cat Ba is the largest island of the Cat Ba archipelago in northern Vietnam, at the southern edge of Ha Long Bay, a mass of limestone hills, forest and mangrove. Cat Ba town, a harbour of fishing boats and seafood restaurants, is the main settlement. Much of the island is Cat Ba National Park, home to the golden-headed langur, one of the rarest primates in the world, as well as macaques, squirrels and birds.
