Highlights
Our slogging gang is looking for new recruits, so join Edward Shelby, a distant cousin of the real-life Birmingham gang, as he shows you around the city and teaches you the ropes of being a gang member in the late 19th century. Guides from our award winning in character walking tour company, Top Tours Global, will walk you through the streets the slogging gangs once ruled at night and explore parts of the city not covered on our daytime tour. How did the gangs use the canals? How did alcohol add to the gang problem. What did the city do to try to control it? On this tour, you will discover the answers and experience four unique drinking establishments, from real ale pubs to gin palaces and cocktail bars. Participate in some fun activities, such as drinking games and a pub quiz, while learning about the impact of gangs and alcohol on the city. Our night tour is perfect for hen and stag nights, birthdays, team-building events, or a great way to meet new people.

5Great tour
Great walking tour. Our guide, Edward, was fun and entertaining. Engaging and very informative. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area who is interested in local history.
5By order of the Peaky Blinders . . .
The guide (Ed) was engaging and knowledgeable, interesting Birmingham history & Peaky Blinders film info shared, enjoyable pub crawl, nice group, great fun
4Really fun! The pubs...
Really fun! The pubs toured were amazing and showed off the beautiful city streets and canals of Birmingham! The tour guide was really funny and a great chat while walking from place to place. I wish the history discussed went a bit more in depth, just gave a cursory google search about the actual Peaky Blinders gang
4Edward is Amazing!
You've seen it in other reviews by now: Edward is a true gem. He's an amicable fellow who loves what he does and it shows! He is a great conversationalist and not only did I learn a good deal about Birmingham's suburbs, through him I also saw Birmingham and Brittain through the eyes of a Birmican. I dearly want to give him 5 stars, however my brother did not enjoy the tour as much as I did. He had trouble following along with the history, especially because of references to characters of the show, and found that the history covered on the tour in general could have been a little broader. And I have to admit, the spectrum of times and names in such a short tour could be hard to follow. We ourselves thought afterwards that a small themed brochure on the tour could have helped there. But I do have to press on: this would've been a 5 star review if it were only coming from me. Don't let it deter you. Especially if you've seen the show you'll have a lot more context to go off of. And if you haven't seen the show... well do yourself a favor and watch at least the first 2 seasons.
5Must do walking tour
Great tour! Edward was an amazing guide, and also flexible to do a spontaneous tour even he had just arrived from the airport. Would 10/10 recommend if you’re in Birmingham!
5By Order of the ******* Peaky Blinders!
My wife and I really enjoyed our Birmingham Gangs Tour and hitting some really cool pubs along the way. Our guide was fantastic and his knowledge of the history surrounding the Birmingham gangs was impressive. We really enjoyed learning and chatting along the way. Excellent tour and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

About Birmingham
Birmingham is England's second city, a Midlands centre of canals, Victorian civic buildings, jewellery workshops and Pre-Raphaelite art.
Birmingham grew from a market town into a city of a thousand trades during the Industrial Revolution, and its canals, which fan out from the basin at Gas Street, still thread through the centre lined with bars and restored warehouses. Victoria Square has the Council House and the Town Hall, the Library of Birmingham stands beside Centenary Square, and the Bullring shopping centre sits below the spire of St Martin's Church.
Top-ranked sights in Birmingham: Chamberlain Square, Birmingham Town Hall, Centenary Square.
