9. The Agora was the heart of Ancient Athens, as it was the centre of any social, commercial, political, cultural and religious activities. In the archeological site you can witness ruins of the long and uninterrupted history of Athens, from the Late Neolithic period (3000 BCE) to the late 19th century, when many restorations were carried out by the Archeologists.

About Athens

Athens sets the Acropolis above a sprawling modern capital, where ancient ruins, hillside lanes and long taverna evenings sit side by side.
