Built in 131 AD, this impressive marble gateway marked the boundary between the old city of Athens and the new Roman quarter. It was dedicated to Emperor Hadrian, who was a great admirer of Greek culture. Standing beneath it, you’ll feel the blend of two worlds—ancient Greek tradition and Roman grandeur.
This colossal temple took over 600 years to complete and was once supported by 104 massive Corinthian columns—only 15 remain today, but they’re enough to leave you in awe.
Located in Syntagma Square, the Parliament building was once a royal palace. it is used as a parliament since 1935
Monument of the Unknown Soldier pays tribute to all Greek soldiers who died in battle. The highlight here is the changing of the guard by the Evzones—elite soldiers in traditional uniforms, complete with pom-pom shoes and a perfectly choreographed march.
This trio of neoclassical gems—the University of Athens, the Academy, and the National Library—showcases Greece’s deep respect for education, philosophy, and the arts The building of Academy is the most beautiful neoclassical building in the world. The old University is the oldest of them and the old National Library with its wonderfull marble stair gives the chance of taking unique photos
Also known as the “Mitropoli,” this is the spiritual heart of the city. Built in the 19th century, it combines Byzantine and neoclassical styles. Inside, you’ll find beautiful frescoes and icons, as well as the tombs of two saints
This is the most beautiful area of Athens.Nestled beneath the Acropolis, Plaka is a maze of cobbled streets, blooming bougainvillea, and pastel-colored houses. It’s the oldest district in Athens and feels like a village within the city.
This elegant building is the official residence of the President of the Hellenic Republic. It’s not open to the public, but the exterior and the ceremonial guards make it a memorable stop. You will have a second chance to phota the presidential guards.
It's a hill not a mountain but is for sure the highest physical spot in the center of Athens. It offers the best panoramic view of the city.
A true marvel—this stadium is made entirely of white marble and dates back to 330 BC. It was rebuilt for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and remains a symbol of athletic excellence. Standing here, you can almost hear the roar of ancient crowds and feel the Olympic spirit come alive.

About Athens
Athens sets the Acropolis above a sprawling modern capital, where ancient ruins, hillside lanes and long taverna evenings sit side by side.
The Parthenon crowns the Acropolis, flanked by the Erechtheion and its porch of caryatids, and the Acropolis Museum at the foot of the hill displays sculpture found on the rock. Around it, the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch and the marble Panathenaic Stadium make the classical city easy to walk through.
