1. On the way to Corinth, we make a stop to The Canal of Corinth, Isthmus, that that separates Peloponnesus from mainland Greece to check out the view.

2. A short drive around the archaeological site is offered before entering, in order to see the highlights from a higher perspective, like the monolithic Temple of Apollo, the Agora, the Bema (Pontium) where apostle Paul preached, the Imperial Temple and Fountain of Glafki.

3. This is the Acropolis of Corinth. It is higher than the one in Athens and the view is spectacular. There is a fort on top you can explore for free.

4. We return down to the village of Ancient Corinth for some traditional lunch before our return to Athens.

About Athens

Athens sets the Acropolis above a sprawling modern capital, where ancient ruins, hillside lanes and long taverna evenings sit side by side.

The Parthenon crowns the Acropolis, flanked by the Erechtheion and its porch of caryatids, and the Acropolis Museum at the foot of the hill displays sculpture found on the rock.
