Itinerary
7:.30 In the morning our car and guide will come to your hotel and pick you up at lobby then starting your trip to Cu Chi tunnel
Known as the “iron land” during Vietnam’s fight for independence, the Cu Chi Tunnels form one of the world’s largest underground networks. This remarkable site showcases the resilience and ingenuity of those who lived and fought here. As you explore, you’ll see wartime remnants, learn powerful stories of survival, and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s history. After visiting the tunnels, enjoy a delicious local Vietnamese lunch before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Independence Palace, or Reunification Palace, is a major historical landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. Built in the 1960s, it was the residence and workplace of South Vietnam’s presidents. On April 30, 1975, it became the site of the Vietnam War’s end as Liberation Army tanks entered its gates. Today, visitors can explore its preserved rooms, artifacts, and unique architecture, making it a symbol of reunification and a powerful reminder of Vietnam’s history.
The War Remnants Museum is a powerful reminder of the Second Indochina War and its impact on the Vietnamese people. Its exhibits feature striking photos, many from U.S. sources, revealing the war’s brutality and suffering. The ground floor highlights global anti-war movements, while displays on napalm, Agent Orange, and experimental weapons expose the war’s devastation. The Requiem Exhibition, honoring fallen photographers, adds depth to this poignant tribute to history and peace.
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, built by the French between 1877 and 1880, is an iconic symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. Combining Roman and Gothic styles, it features two 58-meter bell towers and a red brick façade imported from France. With its stunning stained glass windows, the cathedral serves as both a sacred place of worship and a historic cultural landmark.
Saigon Central Post Office, built by the French between 1886 and 1891, is a beautiful Neoclassical landmark in District 1, near Notre Dame Cathedral. Its ornate façade, vaulted ceilings, and murals of old Saigon showcase a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles. A must-visit for history and architecture lovers, the post office marks the perfect end to your tour before returning to the hotel.
