3This special exhibit not up to the usual ROM standard
My adult daughter and I visited the Bees: The Story of Survival special exhibit on Saturday. This exhibit was good, but not up to the usual ROM exhibit high standard I'm used to in previous years. The actual exhibit space was small, and very "science-y", with not a lot of actual art to accompany it. I didn't find the experiential component very good.
5Should definitely be on your bucket list for Toronto - a great experience!
My husband & I visited this museum on the last day of our trip. This was a Saturday. I don't know if that made a difference but all the museum staff were really focused on getting us engaged with the exhibition. This was in the Dawn of Life & Dinosaur galleries. They are so interactive with exhibits you can touch and hear. We spent nearly 2 hours in the first gallery so only had a short time with the amazing dinosaur skeletons. Don't know if we can make it back any time soon as we live in France but if we do, we'll certainly come again. Great experience! Well done ROM!
2One time thing
Alright, a one time thing for sure. I probably did not appreciate a lot of it but i was kind of boring
5Now I understand why museum memberships exist
My 14-year-old son and I recently visited Toronto for the first time and spent a week. My son is interested in history and science, so the ROM was a no-brainer. We visited one Sunday afternoon and returned the following Tuesday morning. We spent a total of 6.5 hours there and feel like we barely scratched the surface. Now I understand why museum memberships exist. We hope to return to the ROM on a future visit to Canada.
5Great exhibits and a beautiful museum
The Royal Ontario Museum is an impressive place to explore. The building itself is worth seeing, with a unique mix of historic architecture and modern design. The museum is huge, with a wide variety of exhibits covering history, wildlife, art, and cultures from around the world. The dinosaur displays were fascinating, and I also enjoyed discovering the different galleries and collections. I loved how each section had its own atmosphere, making the visit feel like a journey through different times and places. It’s a museum where you can easily spend a few hours and still feel like there is more to see.
2Packed
Look ROM is great but it was so packed and people pushing in front of you and people pushing wheelchairs through an area like a snow plow the whole experience was awful for me and my family. Overall attendance needs to be managed o make it a safe and enjoyable experience. It was so crowded that we regret going and a waste of money as we just left due to crowds and people pushing in front of our kids

About Toronto
Toronto is Canada's biggest city, set on the shore of Lake Ontario, a patchwork of neighbourhoods under the tall needle of the CN Tower.
The CN Tower, 553 metres high, dominates a downtown skyline of glass towers, and the harbourfront below runs along Lake Ontario with ferries to the largely car-free Toronto Islands. The Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario are major collections, the St Lawrence Market is a long-established food hall, and the Distillery District has cobbled lanes between Victorian brick factories.
Top-ranked sights in Toronto: CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market, Entertainment District.
