Experience the best of Horley

Horley is a small town in the Reigate and Banstead district of Surrey, about forty kilometres south of central London on the main line to Brighton. Gatwick Airport lies immediately to the south, and the town's hotels, pubs and car parks are shaped by it. The older part, around the High Street and the parish church of St Bartholomew, keeps something of the village it once was, and the River Mole runs close by.

Within an hour's drive lie the North Downs at Reigate Hill and Box Hill, Hever Castle in Kent, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and the gardens of Wakehurst in Sussex. Brighton and its seafront are about forty kilometres to the south, and London can be reached by train in under an hour.

Pubs in and around the town serve Sunday roasts, pies and fish and chips with ales from Sussex and Surrey breweries, and its hotels and restaurants feed the travellers who pass through. The countryside of Surrey and Sussex is at its greenest in late spring, and it can be damp and cool at other times of year.
