Highlights

Join an evening excursion and follow cryptic radio transmissions and the lingering traces of two long-ago hikers to find the scenic trailhead where the real journey begins. This pathway leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true. Moment Factory, a global leader in video, lighting, sounds and special effects, will bring Whistler’s forests to life this summer with a brand-new show. This 1.5 km (summer) / 1km (winter) trail through an old growth forest will take visitors of all ages on an hour-long multimedia night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders. The entire experience takes place outside within a trail network which is partially levelled but not asphalted. The course initially heads up the hillside through a moderate gradient and a few sets of stairs before heading back down - the back half of the course is flatter. Including up and down, there are roughly 275 staircase steps.

  • 4Good experience

Overall it was a fun experience. There was a bit of a hike up a hill and back down with little light at times so watch your step. My only feedback for improvement would be the reservation system, I found it quite confusing. I booked the ticket and chose bus transpiration. The tick was issued and showed bus pick up time and location at the top of the reservation. I happened to call with a question and they told me I had not booked the bus as the ticket said I needed to call to book. I looked at the reservation again and saw bus booked with pickup time at the top and you need to phone to book the bus at the bottom.

  • 5A really nice evening

I really enjoyed this! Had a great time. Went on a chilly October evening and had a great time. I can tell that a lot of love and work was put into this. The sound system is amazing. The hot chocolate is fantastic! Thank you for the fun!

  • 5Magical experience

We gave this experience a go and it was really special. The lighting is very clever. The story although a little confusing is sweet and not too serious. A relaxing thing to do in the evening.

  • 2Frightening hike in dark

Was not prepared for the vigorous nighttime hike with dim lighting - as a result it took me twice a long to complete the course . operator needs to spell this out to me customers PRIOR to booking -

  • 5Spectacular forest light show

Absolutely loved this show. The lights & theatrics are spectacular. You must have good footing tho & be able to walk up down some steep timber steps as it’s quite dark & your walking on forest ground. But well worth it

About Whistler

Whistler, in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, is a ski and mountain-bike resort village between two big peaks, Whistler and Blackcomb.

Whistler sits in a valley of the Coast Mountains, about two hours' drive up the Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver, with a pedestrian village at the base of two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The Peak 2 Peak gondola links the two mountains across a deep valley. The resort hosted the alpine events of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the resort takes its name from the whistling calls of the marmots on the slopes.

Top-ranked sights in Whistler: Shannon Falls, Whistler-Blackcomb Mountains, Sea to Sky Highway.
