Itinerary
Start your adventure at Republic Square (Prokurative), Split’s Venetian-style stage for daily life. Just open the app nearby to begin exploring!
Stroll along the Riva Promenade, Split’s seaside runway where locals sip espresso under palm trees and Roman walls glow in the sun.
Pause at Pjaca, the city’s civic heart since medieval times, where Gothic, Renaissance, and coffee cups collide in one perfect frame.
Stand before Jupiter’s Temple, a compact Roman survivor now crowned with a Christian twist — proof that Split edits its gods, not erases them.
Step into the Vestibule, a circular echo chamber that once led to Diocletian’s private quarters. Look up — the sky is the only ceiling left.
Admire the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, once the emperor’s mausoleum, now the city’s spiritual core — irony carved in stone.
Cross the Peristyle, Split’s marble theatre of power, where ancient emperors and modern tourists share the same spotlight.
Pass through the Golden Gate, Diocletian’s northern portal to the world, once guarded by soldiers, now by souvenir stalls and stray cats.
Rub the toe of Grgur Ninski’s statue, the city’s unofficial good-luck ritual, dedicated to a bishop who fought for the Croatian language.
Wrap up your adventure at Pazar, Split’s vibrant green market. Take a moment to enjoy the scents of figs, olives, and fresh gossip before ending your tour.

About Split
Split is a busy Dalmatian port built within and around a Roman emperor's palace, with ferries to some of Croatia's loveliest islands.
Diocletian's Palace, built around the turn of the fourth century as the emperor's retirement home, is the old town itself: its walls, cellars and courtyards hold homes, shops and cafés. The Peristyle, the colonnaded heart, leads to the Cathedral of St Domnius, once the emperor's mausoleum, and its bell tower gives views over the rooftops.
Top-ranked sights in Split: Budikovac Island (Veliki Budikovac), Blue Lagoon Croatia (Krknjasi Bay), Peristyle Square (Peristil).
