Itinerary
A strategically positioned stronghold that has played a crucial role in the region’s history for more than two thousand years. Located between the Kozjak and Mosor mountains, the fortress once served as a key defensive point against invading forces. Walk along ancient stone walls, explore different sections of the fortress, and take in breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Split, the Adriatic Sea, and nearby islands. The dramatic scenery and preserved architecture also made Klis Fortress a filming location for the globally popular series Game of Thrones, adding to its modern appeal.
This natural attraction is one of the most remarkable caves in Dalmatia, known for its impressive underground formations. Inside the cave, follow your guide along well-maintained paths, revealing intricate stalactites, stalagmites, and other geological features that have formed over thousands of years. The cave maintains a constant temperature of around 15°C, offering a refreshing contrast to the warm Mediterranean climate, especially during the summer months. The lighting inside the cave enhances the shapes and textures of the formations, creating a truly memorable visual experience.

About Split
Split is a busy Dalmatian port built within and around a Roman emperor's palace, with ferries to some of Croatia's loveliest islands.
Diocletian's Palace, built around the turn of the fourth century as the emperor's retirement home, is the old town itself: its walls, cellars and courtyards hold homes, shops and cafés. The Peristyle, the colonnaded heart, leads to the Cathedral of St Domnius, once the emperor's mausoleum, and its bell tower gives views over the rooftops.
Top-ranked sights in Split: Budikovac Island (Veliki Budikovac), Blue Lagoon Croatia (Krknjasi Bay), Peristyle Square (Peristil).
