3Not the best for snorkeling side
The pick up spot was fine, the contact people were at the location, but the snorkeling was not that great, the tour guide was a little pushy, not very friendly and almost demanding. Did not give us the freedom to swim at all without a lifejacket on so you could not dive down and look at the coral or fish anything other than floating on the top. The one highlight was that we saw a sea turtle.
5Great day out.
Excellent service. Private trip. Great guide. Good value for money. Saw turtle and stingray. Got free use of kayaks and paddle boards. Free sun beds and a free drink. Also got free photos and videos all for $45 per person.
5Snorkeling & pictures
The guide was very attentive and personable. Unfortunately, the water was very murky for snorkeling 🥺 -- mother nature 🤷♀️. Snorkeling and fins were provided. Communication was great!!! FREE Gopro underwater pictures sent to us within hours. What a bonus!!!! Thank you!
5Gear trip, would go again
Guillermo was a great tour guide. We took a boat out to a reef. Guillermo made sure we got to see great fish, stingrays and the reef. Once back to land we were met with fresh pineapple and coke, that came with our tickets. We spent the rest of the day at the beach for no extra charge. Highly recommended!
5Fun in the sun with lots of fish
Easy to communicate, nice & safe. Fun catching fish. I caught 2 with some help. They baited the hooks and they drove the boat while we troll fished. They will cook what you catch
4Visibility wasn’t...
Visibility wasn’t amazing (water was pretty choppy), BUT the experience was. Marco, Philippe and Sandra were very kind, patient and hospitable. The shopping in the area was very nice. We will miss Costa Maya

About Costa Maya
Costa Maya is the southern Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán, a quiet shoreline of white beaches and mangroves beside the reef, with Maya ruins inland.
Costa Maya is the name given to the southern stretch of Quintana Roo's Caribbean coast, south of the Riviera Maya and close to the border with Belize. Its shore is a quiet strip of white sand, palms and mangrove, backed by low forest, and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef runs just offshore. Mahahual, a small seaside village with a long boardwalk, is the main settlement and has a dock for cruise ships. Xcalak, a fishing village at the southern tip, sits beside a protected reef park.
