Highlights
With a comfortable transfer you can reach the valley of butterflies, the excursion lasts about 2 hours of walking. Visitors can witness a spectacular phenomenon that rarely occurs in nature: A huge number of butterflies, of a particular species called: "Panaxia Quadripunctaria", are found in this small valley during the final phase of their life cycle. Every year, at the end of the wet season (July to September) thousands of butterflies are attracted by the scent of the eastern styrax trees, covering the entire landscape. Our Hiking Rhodes guide will accompany you throughout the entire route

About Kos
Kos is a Greek island in the Dodecanese close to the Turkish coast, with ancient ruins, sandy beaches and a knights' castle at the harbour.
Kos lies close to the Turkish coast, with Kos Town on its north shore, where a castle of the Knights of St John guards the harbour and palms line the waterfront. The town is also a living archaeological site, with Roman mosaics, the ancient agora and a restored Roman house. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, is said to have been born on the island, and a huge old plane tree in town is named after him.
