  1. Departure for the Plateau de Valensole, the largest and most famous lavender area of Provence. During this half-day tour, enjoy many stops along the lavender road and free time among lavender and sunflower fields according to flowering periods (June and July are the months of blooming lavender). Your tour includes a visit of a traditional lavender distillery shop to discover the lavender and lavandin essential oils making process, olive oil and lavender honey. You will drive through typical landscapes and lavender fields to enjoy breathtaking sights. Duration includes travel time.

About Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence is an elegant university town in Provence, with plane-shaded boulevards, fountains, markets and the hills Cézanne painted.

Aix-en-Provence was founded by the Romans in 122 BC beside hot springs and later became the capital of Provence. The Cours Mirabeau, a broad avenue shaded by plane trees, divides the old town from the newer quarter, with cafés on one side and old mansions on the other, and fountains run in the small squares behind. Thermal springs still feed its baths.
