The Basilica, is dedicated to the Divine Wisdom. It is famous, among other things, for the enormous dome, one of the most extraordinary works that man has built. The interior of Santa Sofia is impressive: the dimensions of the main hall (70 by 74 meters). The diffuse lighting, the huge decorative medallions and the monolithic columns will leave you with your mouth open. These two sites are completely unique and a true must when visiting Istanbul.
The Suleymaniye Mosque or Süleymaniye Mosque is an Ottoman imperial mosque located on the third hill of Istanbul, Turkey. Until 2019 it was the largest mosque in the city, being succeeded by the Çamlıca Mosque, yet it is one of the most famous sights in the city.

About Istanbul
Istanbul straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus, with Byzantine and Ottoman monuments, busy bazaars and ferries crossing between continents.
The historic peninsula holds the greatest landmarks. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome face each other in Sultanahmet, the Basilica Cistern lies beneath the streets, and Topkapı Palace spreads across the hill above the Golden Horn. A short walk away, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar have traded for centuries, and Süleymaniye Mosque, built by the great Ottoman architect Sinan, crowns one of the city's seven hills.
Top-ranked sights in Istanbul: Dolmabahce Palace (Dolmabahce Sarayi), Bosphorus, Bosphorus Bridge (Bogazici Koprusu).
