1Guides decided to cancel the night prior
Guide cancelled on us the night before our booking citing the “heatwave”. Temperature was as predicted when I booked 2 days prior and is actually going to be hotter during the week. By the way this was a morning meet up time before the hottest part of the day. Despite my attempts to contact them they were non-responsive. Very disappointed.
5Excellent
A great day. Our guide was excellent. The nature is lovely. We are all pleased. This is more than worth the money.
5Initiative in adversity
Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us and it was not possible to see much of El Torcal. But Anton, our guide, was wonderful. After gallantly battling with the elements, he accepted the inevitable and arranged an alternative tour of Antequara on the fly which was informative and interesting. Anton is a great asset to your company.
5Amazing view
I was amazed by the mountains, the pattern is really very diferent from anything I've ever seen. I considered the trail easy to follow. It's important to know that taking the trip from Málaga, they don't get you back to Málaga. They give you a bus ticket to get back, so you have free time to explore the city of Antequera (which I did). The city is very small, but very charming. If you don't want to explore the city, they take you to the bus station to get the next bus.
5Fantastic experience in Torcal de Antequera
Amazing walk and a fantastic guide. The hike was of a good length and Antonio answered all of my questions. Pick up was at an easy accessible point in Málaga. I would definitely recommend.
5Great tour to do from Malaga!
Antonio guided us around El Torcal in a very professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic way. It is a beautiful area, just 45 mins drive from Malaga. We really enjoyed our trip, definitely worth the time and money. Antonio takes care of his guests and makes sure everyone is okay. We certainly would recommend doing the trip!

As El Torcal de Antequera is located at over 1,200 metres (3,940 ft) above sea level, weather conditions can change quickly. During spring, autumn, and winter, temperatures are often significantly cooler than at lower elevations, so it is essential to bring warm clothing, such as a fleece or insulated jacket, and a waterproof layer in case of wind or rain. Choosing the right clothing according to the season will help ensure a safe and comfortable hiking experience.

About Antequera
Antequera is an inland Andalusian town with a Moorish fortress, a skyline of churches and some of the largest prehistoric burial chambers in Europe.
Antequera lies in the middle of Andalusia, in Málaga province, on a plain between the coast and the mountains. A Moorish fortress, the Alcazaba, looks down on the whitewashed old town, where more than thirty churches and convents rise in Renaissance and Baroque style. Its dolmens, Menga, Viera and El Romeral, are huge Neolithic burial chambers and are listed by UNESCO.
