1. Embrace the best of Oia village. Unique in every way with iconic blue domed churches, scenic pathways, stunning views and the most spectacular sunset. One of the most photographed places in Greece, Oia is situated on the top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano and the Aegean sea. The village has several cultural attractions such as: The Maritime museum, the traces of a Venetian fortress and the Captains houses. You may as well explore the large shopping area and enjoy a drink in one of the several open-air cafes. The world famous sunset in Oia is available by choosing an afternoon departure.

2. Stroll around the narrow paths of Megalochori traditional village. This settlement is made of hundreds of small white painted houses with exquisite architecture, tiny alleys, tower bells, beautiful blue domed chapels and underground cave houses. At this picturesque and non-touristic environment, you’ll truly be basking in the local culture and lifestyle.

3. At the extreme Southwest part of Santorini visit the lighthouse. Built in 1892, it’s considered one of the most beautiful of the Cycladic Islands and a unique point to watch the sunset. Standing on the edge of a high cliff right above the sea, its position is ideal for taking panoramic pictures and admiring Santorini's famous Caldera from a different point of view.

4. See the Red beach, the most unique natural beach of the island, where red is the dominant color. Take amazing pictures of the enormous volcanic rocks and the steep hills that create a captivating wild scenary. This wonderful volcanic landscape will capture your complete attention.

5. Head further to the southernmost point of Santorini and relax at Perissa - Perivolos Black Beach. It is the longest and most famous beach in Santorini and a unique sight of the volcanic island. Enjoy leisure time, swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, take pictures on the black lava sand and optionally taste traditional dishes in a seaside tavern.

6. Head up to the Mountain of Prophet Elias and admire the most breathtaking view from the island's highest peak. From this vantage point, you will enjoy a striking view of the entire island. The Mountain's name is Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elias), coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak, built in 1711. Whilst in this stunning and peaceful environment, you may as well taste wine and local products made by the monks, who reside at the monastery.

• 5So Much Love for Tgis Experience

  An Unforgettable Day in Santorini with Thanos! We had the most incredible six-hour private tour with Thanos, and I truly cannot recommend him highly enough. Our day included Black Sand Beach, Red Beach, a traditional cave home where we learned what life was like in Santorini long ago, and beautiful Fira and Oia. We also had an amazing lunch at 41 Restaurant at Black Beach, and Thanos made sure every detail of our day was absolutely perfect. What made this tour so special, though, was Thanos himself. He was incredibly knowledgeable and conscientious, sharing the history of Greece and Santorini in a way that was interesting, personal, and meaningful. We especially loved hearing him talk about his Greek culture and passion for his history, his family, and the traditions that are so important to him. I have been on many tours, but I honestly don’t remember ever having a guide who put so much care, pride, and genuine love into making sure we had a wonderful experience. We never felt rushed, and he truly wanted us to experience and understand Santorini rather than simply see the sights. Thanos gave us a day we will always remember. I will absolutely recommend him to friends and family traveling to Santorini, and if we return, we would book with him again without hesitation. Thank you, Thanos, for making our day so special! ❤️

• 5Incredible day in Santorini

  We had an absolutely wonderful six-hour tour of Santorini with Thanos. He arrived early to pick us up, was incredibly attentive throughout the entire day, and was always genuinely concerned about our safety and comfort at every stop. Thanos took us to all of the highlights — Fira, Oia, the black sand beaches, the red sand beaches, and the beautiful old villages where cave homes are still part of everyday life. But what made the experience truly special was how much pride he has in his Greek heritage. He shared the history, culture, traditions, and little intricacies of Santorini that we would have never discovered on our own. This was our **third trip to Santorini**, and without a doubt, it was our most informative and educational experience yet. We didn’t just see Santorini — we learned about it and gained a much deeper appreciation for the island and its people. Thanos was knowledgeable, personable, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing his home with us.. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Santorini, especially if you want to experience more than just the beautiful views. He truly made our day unforgettable.

Santorini is a crescent of volcanic cliffs in the Aegean, where whitewashed villages and blue domes look over a flooded caldera to famous sunsets.

The island is the rim of an ancient volcano whose eruption left a vast caldera filled by the sea.
