Highlights
White travertine terraces, ancient ruins, and thermal landscapes come together on this full-day Pamukkale tour from Izmir. Lasting approximately 12 hours, the program combines guided exploration, lunch, free time, and local experiences. Begin at Hierapolis, one of the most important settlements of the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Explore its archaeological remains and admire the recently restored theatre while learning about the city’s history from a professional guide. Continue to Pamukkale, the famous “Cotton Castle,” where mineral-rich thermal waters have shaped brilliant white travertine terraces over centuries. During the free time, guests may enter the permitted sections of the travertines, walk through the warm thermal water, or visit Cleopatra’s Antique Pool for an additional entrance fee paid on site. 5Great tour to Pammukale
We had a great time at our tour to Pammukale travines and the Hierapolis. Our guide, Ekim, was very knowledgeable and kind and took great photos. We had lots of free time to explore the area on our own. Would recommend to anyone visiting Izmir.
5Informative tour with plenty of time to explore
A really enjoyable tour of Pamukkale. Our guide gave clear, interesting explanations of the area, and we were given sufficient time to explore and appreciate the sights without feeling rushed. The pace worked really well and made for a great day. One tip for other travellers: make sure to bring your swimwear!
5Amazing tour to Pammukale
We had an amazing experience at the Pammukale tour with Mr Ekim. He was very knowledgeable and fun and there is lots of free time to explore that travines and historical area. The entry fees to the pools and Hierapolis is included along with lunch in the tour cost and Cleopatra pools cost extra 600 TRY and are optional. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is in Izmir.
5Pamukkale
The tour was very nice. We were a group of 14 people which made the whole experience go very smoothly. Erman explained in detail all parts of our trip, gave us a lot of historical background and overall was very engaged during the whole day. There could have been a bit more time on the spot in Pamukkale - there is so much to experience so I would recommend moving quite fast during free time.
5Highly recommended
A wonderful experience – an intense tour, but made all the more enjoyable by the excellent guide, who, as it turned out, had also studied in Italy, in Bologna!! Highly recommended
5Emran is really good
Erman was an exceptional tour guide! He was very nice and provided us with interesting facts about Hierapolis and Pamukkale. It was a very nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

About İzmir
İzmir is Turkey's third-largest city, an Aegean port with an old bazaar, a seafront promenade and the ancient ruins of Ephesus and Pergamon within reach.
İzmir, known to the ancient Greeks as Smyrna, lies at the head of a deep gulf on the Aegean coast. Konak Square has an ornate clock tower from 1901 and the small Konak Mosque, and the Kemeraltı bazaar sprawls behind it with workshops, mosques and old caravanserais. The Asansör, a historic lift in the Karataş district, rises to a terrace overlooking the gulf, and a long promenade, the Kordon, runs beside the water.
Top-ranked sights in İzmir: Pergamon (Pergamum), Sardis (Sart), Bergama Asklepion (Pergamon Asclepeion).
