Don’t miss the walk up to the Castle, where you can enjoy one of the most magical sunsets in the Aegean. Truly unforgettable!

  3. One of the most photographed villages on the island, Klima enchants visitors with its colorful “syrmata,” the fishermen’s houses built right by the water. Here, the sea and local tradition blend into a postcard perfect setting. Klima is ideal for a refreshing afternoon stroll and, of course, for enjoying the sunset with the colors reflecting beautifully on the calm sea.

  4. Built in the Hellenistic period and later reconstructed in marble by the Romans, this historic theater once hosted up to 7,000 spectators. Carved into the hillside above the village of Klima, it offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the Aegean Sea alongside incredible acoustic design. Located just steps away from where the famous Venus de Milo was discovered, it remains one of the island's most evocative cultural treasures.

  5. Firopotamos is a picture-perfect coastal settlement that beautifully combines a sandy beach with a traditional fishing village. Framed by iconic "syrmata"—the colorful, whitewashed fishermen's houses carved into the rock—its turquoise, crystal-clear waters invite you for a refreshing swim. Overlooking the scenic bay is the charming church of Agios Nikolaos and the ruins of an old loading dock, making it one of the island's most photogenic and atmospheric spots.

    15 min

  6. Mandrakia is a charming, traditional fishing village renowned for its colorful and authentic Cycladic atmosphere. It features the island's iconic "syrmata"—whitewashed boat garages with vibrant, brightly painted doors carved directly into the seaside rocks. With its small, picturesque harbor, a beautiful church overlooking the sea, and an excellent seaside tavern, it is a must-visit spot that captures the true essence of Milos.

About Milos

Milos is a volcanic Cycladic island of white cliffs, sea caves and fishing hamlets, where the Venus de Milo was found in 1820.

Milos was shaped by volcanoes, and its coast is a patchwork of white, yellow and rust-coloured rock. Plaka, the hilltop capital, is a whitewashed village of winding lanes below a medieval kastro, and Adamas is the main port. A farmer found the Venus de Milo in 1820, and the statue now stands in the Louvre. Obsidian from the island was traded around the Aegean in prehistory.
