The buildings house the Musée de l'Armée, the military museum of the Army of France, the Musée des Plans-Reliefs, and the Musée d'Histoire Contemporaine. The complex also includes the former hospital chapel, now national cathedral of the French military, and the adjacent former Royal Chapel known as the Dôme des Invalides, the tallest church building in Paris at a height of 107 meters. • 5Great driver!

Our driver, Leo, was great! Suggested sites to visit based on our time and figured out the best course so that we could see everything our group wanted. We were even a bit late getting back to the car on our last stop and he was totally cool with it. Good guy!

About Le Havre

Le Havre is a major port at the mouth of the Seine, rebuilt in concrete after the Second World War to plans by Auguste Perret and now UNESCO-listed.

Le Havre was founded in 1517 by King François I as a harbour on the Seine estuary and is still one of the main ports of France. Bombing in 1944 flattened the centre, and a team led by Auguste Perret rebuilt it in reinforced concrete on a grid of wide avenues, a modern town that is now a World Heritage site. Saint Joseph's Church, with a lantern tower more than a hundred metres high, anchors the skyline.
