Both white and red icewines are produced in the region. White icewine is especially known for its brilliant golden colour, often described as “liquid gold,” with distinctive aromas of honey and ripe fruit. Its naturally sweet, smooth, and refreshing taste comes from the concentrated sugars in grapes frozen on the vine, without the need to add extra sugar during production.

About Niagara Falls & Around

Niagara Falls is where the Niagara River drops between Ontario and New York, with wine country, historic towns and a deep gorge close by.

The Niagara River plunges over the Niagara Escarpment in three falls: the curved Horseshoe Falls, mostly on the Canadian side, and the American and Bridal Veil Falls across the border in New York. Boats carry passengers to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls, and walkways follow the rim of the gorge. After dark the water is lit in changing colours.
