4Fine but would’ve paid more for a better experience
The description was somewhat accurate and our guide was nice but didn’t speak English fluently enough to explain tea growing/harvesting. The trek through the tea fields was nice but difficult at times, so I wouldn’t recommend to anyone not used to uneven surfaces, mobility impairments, etc. Afterwards, seeing the Lockhart Tea Factory was fine but our guide for that was hard to hear due to the sound system he used. The tasting afterwards is somewhat minimal. We did try the tea produced by Lockhart, but they poured the tea into a cup where everyone took a spoonful to try. Not a formal tasting. Overall the views were beautiful but didn’t feel like we needed a guide to take us around.
5An awesome experience. Stunning scenery.
An excellent experience from start to finish. My guide was brilliant as we walked through the tea plantations. I thoroughly enjoyed the factory visit and feel much more informed about the tea production process. Munnar is absolutely stunning.
5Excellent tour
We had a great time on this tour. We particularly enjoyed walking through the tea plantation. Rajamani was extremely knowledgable & was kind enough to provide us with water and snacks. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Munnar.
5Happy tea trail journey♡
It was such a nice experience and the guide Rajamani was so friendly, he reallv knew the place and even if English wasn't his first language he really made it clear. He also offered to make a lot of pictures while really taking the time to make the pictures to your liking, he was also funny and let us pose like we were plucking the tea. It was a very enjoyable experience ♡ I would recommend it I even booked it two hours in advance because i arrived in Munnar in the morning! And they still accommodated me. I would definitely recommend this trip!
5Ramesh was an amazing guide!
We learned so much on this tour with Ramesh. The scenery was amazing and we got to see tea production from start to finish. I would say this tour is a must for everyone coming to Munnar
5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tea Plantation Tour in Munnar – Highly Recommended
We were picked up in Munnar by our TukTuk driver Rajamani and taken to the tea plantations. Along the way and on site, he explained everything really well—you can immediately tell that he has a lot of knowledge and shares it with real passion. He was also extremely friendly and open. At the plantations, he even suggested poses for photos, which helped us get some great shots. After that, we visited a tea factory where we learned a lot about the different types of tea, how they are produced, and the differences between them. The tour ended with a tea tasting. In the end, Rajamani brought us back and even provided us with some snacks. A very warm-hearted and competent person—clear 5 stars and an absolute recommendation.

About Munnar
Munnar is a hill station in Kerala's Western Ghats, where tea bushes cover the slopes and the Nilgiri tahr grazes on grassland above the clouds.
Munnar lies at around 1,500 metres in the Western Ghats of Kerala, at the meeting of three rivers, which is where its name comes from. The hills around town are covered in rolling tea estates planted by British growers in the nineteenth century, and cardamom and pepper grow on the slopes of the Cardamom Hills nearby. A small museum tells the story of the tea industry.
