  • 5Wonderful e-bike adventure

This was a brilliant way to see Meteora. I had never ridden an e-bike before and now I am well and truly hooked on this form of transport to sight see. Guide was lovely knowledgeable and easy going.

  • 5Exceptional beauty abounds

Extreme beauty abounds in Meteora !! Our guide did an excellent job of finding the perfect picture spots and places to rest. Bill explained the importance and both the ancient and modern history of this important region. Our tour guide provided wraps for skirts, water bottles, snacks and bathroom stops along the way. The bikes are very easy to operate and honestly…just keep it at the highest level (5) and we had no issues with anyone in our tour keeping up. The traffic moves extremely slow and all cars and buses had no problems navigating around d us or waiting behind us. I’m 61 and have e-bike experience but truly it was an overall easy ride.

Vasilis was an absolutely amazing guide. He grew up in the area and did a great job of explaining the history of the area. He also made sure we were safe on the bikes. I highly recommend taking the Monastery e-Bike Tour with Meteora e-Bike. You will love it!

About Meteora

Meteora is a UNESCO site in central Greece where Orthodox monasteries stand on tall pillars of rock above the Thessalian plain.

Meteora is a forest of sandstone and conglomerate pillars, some hundreds of metres high, rising abruptly from the plain of Thessaly beside the town of Kalambaka. From the fourteenth century monks built monasteries on the summits, reaching them at first by ladders and rope nets, and six are still active. The Great Meteoron, Varlaam and Roussanou are among them, with frescoed chapels and views down the Pineios valley.
