This grand country hotel once had Empresses and Maharaja's amongst its guests who were attracted by the famous hunts that ran here.
A fantastic old pub with at least two very famous owners. If you're looking for somewhere to eat and drink after the tour then you can't go wrong here either.
The beautiful St Mary's Church dominates the skyline of Melton/ Rich in history and richer still inside.
The old market square has seen it all. Thankfully executions aren't much of a thing any more but there is much else to see!
One can't come to Melton without popping in here. You don't have to buy an official Melton Mowbray Pork Pie but you really should think about it :-)
As the name belies, the heart of Royal Melton and place where you will find the rather unassuming manor house of the old Mowbray family.
Melton Mowbray is the home of Stilton cheese. This wonderful aladdin's cave of cheese has over 100 varieties of cheeses including the oh so yummy Stilton and neighbour Red Leicester.
